Searcy calls on Arne Duncan for [failed] policy advice
Searcy hosted a high-dollar fundraiser with 'guest of honor' Arne Duncan.
In response to questions about connecting herself with Arne Duncan, Searcy stated: "...I can call on [Arne Duncan] for policy advice. Duncan has a long history of alienating parents and teachers. He was only of the primary architects of the federal Race to the Top program, which pushed Common Core standards, increased high-stakes testing, and drove teachers out of the profession. Searcy has even bragged about being selected by Duncan to rate Race to the Top applications. In chasing Duncan dollars, Searcy is also chasing one federal fad fix after another.
